Frequently Asked Questions

01 How much does a new website cost?

There is no single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Each site is unique and requires different components. I design and develop custom websites specifically for your small business. I’ll ask lots of questions, assess your needs, and provide you with a quote based on that assessment. Most projects are priced between $1,000 and $3,000, but can be higher or lower depending on specific needs.

02 How long will it take to complete a new website?

On average, I shoot for a completion by six to eight weeks, but the pace of any project is set by the individual client. The amount of information you can provide in the early stages, your availability with response, the speed with which your content is ready – all of these affect the speed of completion. Feature requests can also play a role – more complex sites take longer to develop.

03 Do you only create WordPress websites?

Correct. WordPress is a great content management system that powers 43% of all websites on the internet as of 2022. Its huge market share is due to its versatility and ease of use.

04 Do I have to be local to work with you?

No way! I work with customers nationwide!

05 Will I be able to make updates to the site myself when it's finished?

Definitely! I’ll provide you with a comprehensive set of video tutorials to help you learn your way around the WordPress CMS, as well as a training session to get you started. (Note: I love answering your questions!)

06 Will you maintain my website for me?

I can! I provide on-going website support and maintenance for many of my clients.

07 Will my website be mobile-friendly?

Absolutely! Having a mobile-friendly website is more important than ever! I work hard to make your website look great and perform on a wide range of devices.

08 When do I pay?

For most projects, the same payments are made at project start and end, but I can work with you to set up a plan that meets your needs. I understand this is a big investment and want to help you budget in any way I can.

I accept PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, checks, and all major credit cards.

09 How much input will I have in the web design process?

A lot! Your input and feedback is essential to this process. I’ll start with lots of questions about your needs, tastes, and desires and work with you to develop the right look and function for you.

10 Who writes the website's content?

Usually you do. You’re the greatest expert of your business, so it’s best if you do. If you need help, I can help you clean up or write original content for an additional fee.

11 Where should my new website be hosted?

Website hosting is extremely important! When it comes to choosing a hosting company, you get what you pay for.

12 What if I need help on my website in the future?

I’m just an email, text, or phone call away! I’ll be here to help you as much or as little as you need and I won’t disappear on you once the site is up and running. I’ve been doing this for years, so I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.
